The hotel, in general, was of a very high standard and I can include the team who were working there. They were helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much for them. The gym facilities were perfect for de-stressing after being in the office all day; it makes such a difference. The room facilities were perfect and had everything one could need for a working visit. As a female travelling alone I felt very relaxed in the lounge and bar areas which cannot always be said for some hotels!

We stayed last weekend for a quick spa break! The room was very clean and well equipped. The bed was huge and really comfortable! The spa was amazing! The sauna and steam room were clean and really did the job to make us feel relaxed. We had a 3-course meal for dinner and a breafast buffet the next morning -which I would say are both exceptional! The servers were really accomodating and made us feel very welcome. Really great service from the restaurant.

We chose the Crowne Plaza Reading East specifically for the one-night pampering Spa break, having received a Virgin Experience voucher. We both really enjoyed our stay and in particular the Spa treatment and the food. We also found all of the staff who we came into contact with during our stay, both friendly and helpful.

This hotel is surprising stylish in comparison to many other holiday inns I’ve stayed at. We booked the overnight spa package with dinner and breakfast. The food was lovely and had the option of selection from two different menus as part of the set menu package. Great value for money and the staff were so welcoming. We would definitely return.

I have visited Crowne Plaza Reading East 4 times and have never been dissapointed. I highly recommend Angela for a back massage she is extremely talented - I had knots that she attended to and I have left feeling so much more relaxed and stress free. 5 star service from all staff - Every member of staff I came across has been kind, friendly and accommodating. Food at the 2AA caprice is oustanding I couldn't recommend this hotel and spa enough.

We had a Virgin Experience day/night at HI Junction 10 off the M4 ...we weren't expecting it to be particularly good .....how wrong we were! Easy to get to, great secure parking, lovely clean room, Spa facilities inc sauna, gym, steam room, pool ...lovely just relaxing on a lounger by the pool , it could've been summer! The dinner was lovely with both choices from Al La Carte or set menus ..fab quality, for pub prices! Breakfast was lovely - buffet style so you can chose what you want and how much you want incl. cereals, continental, full english etc. Staff were friendly and polite at all times. Overall Excellent.

Went for the spa weekend and the weekend was very relaxing. The spa facilities are very clean and modern. The food was exceptional around the pool and the cocktails were amazing. The rooms have everything you need, the bottle of included bubbly was a very good touch. The meal in the evening in the restaurant was exquisite and good presentation and quality food. The staff were so polite and professional. Just used red letter day voucher for spa. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Had an amazing facial with neck and shoulder massage. Therapist knew without me saying which shoulder needed working as she spent most time working on it!! Certainly knew her stuff!! Great day, totally enjoyable. Would certainly return

After attending the Spa today, I felt it important to express my thanks in writing. The day was extremely enjoyable and was made so by every member of staff we came across, from receptionist, waitress, to masseuse. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I was impressed with the masseuse as although I hadn't said anything, she was able to ascertain that my right shoulder was a problem, this was evident as she spent more time on this affected area. After leaving the spa I realised that I had left my bank card in the pocket of the robe I was wearing. When I went back to ask if they could look for it, the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful(when I'm sure it was the last thing they wanted to do!) .Three members of staff looked through all the towels and robes which had already been taken for washing and returned with my card. Again, please express my thanks to all the staff who made our day very enjoyable.

Spa package with additional surcharge for hot stone massage. The staff worked hard to please. Food overall was excellent. The tiny minor details for improvement come down to personal taste so are not worth mentioning. Wife and I had a lovely weekend away. Five stars overall.

Staff are very helpful and are more than happy to help with any queries. The atmosphere is quiet and calm which is great if you're using the spa facility. It was very relaxing. The staff were really attentive and did go above and beyond to make your stay the best it could be. Our waiter found out we were celebrating our anniversary and bought us a cake over which was really thoughtful. The gym was a perfect size, swimming pool was a good size, and the spa treatments were worth every penny. It did feel like a mini holiday and a well deserved break.

Had a great spa weekend on a deal which includes bed breakfast dinner on one night and 1 hour spa treatment. The best part of the weekend was the spa treatment - a full body massage by Mo. The best ever massage I have ever had. My friends also had massages and only wishes it was for more than 1 hour. The rooms were very clean and the pool and sauna area were nice and relaxing.  The dinner was brilliant. All in all it was the best spa weekend i have been to so far and I have been to quite a few.

I came here for a facial and it was lovely. The room I went it was dim and relaxing music playing. It was all clean organised and prepared. I had a Dermaolgica facial which was done brilliantly and felt so relaxed. The lady was lovely. You can park there it's underneath the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel in general.

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday. We were upgraded to an executive room, early check in 12 and late check out at 2pm the next day. Rooms are lovely. Very clean. The spa is a lovely place to relax. We really loved our spa relaxing day here. All staff are very friendly and very attentive. We will be going back here. Great value for money.

My sister, Mother and I stayed here for 1 night on a spa break. Lovely NEW hotel. We were happy with the spa which was nice and quiet (although this was a Friday and I understand that Saturday's can get pretty busy.). Lovely big pool. Relaxing mini facial. Staff were very pleasant, especially Mohammed who was very friendly and helpful. In the restaurant we had a set priced menu as part of our package and the food was really good. The staff were very attentive. There was a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast. The scrambled eggs were a favourite of ours. Again, all the staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is nicely laid out and tables are not too close together which helped create a lovely atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time. The back, shoulder and neck massage was nice, felt very much like a deep tissue massage. The benefits from our stay was having the treatment in the same room, sauna and steam room shared, the swimming pool area was beautiful, had a very calming atmosphere- very relaxing and the two course meal with bottle of wine in the evening just made it extra special as well as the brilliant breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel is located in a great area not far from Winnersh Triangle Station (5 mins walk maximum). And it's lovely quite area, definitely feels like a getaway if you are used to a busy lifestyle. The room was a standard double but nice just what we needed, on the 4th floor. It was well decorated, clean and stylish. We ordered room service and had lunch- this was also great and delicious food. Overall we had a great one night stay in this 4* Crowne Plaza and was pleasantly surprised with its standards and service. We will definitely return again. Thank you again Crowne Plaza for making us feel welcome.

Stayed here for one night on a Spa break in an Executive room which was very nice but doesn't sound that different from a standard room going by other reviews. But room had everything we needed including Hair Dryer and ironing board and iron. Bed was a bit larger than the King bed we have at home and just as comfy. Restaurant & bar was top class food in the evening and the breakfast in morning was excellent. Even had a piano man in the evening which added to the ambience. Spa facilities were great what we used, gym looked adequate but did not use. Pool and sauna/Steam rooms were used and were great. Really impressed with the staff in all areas that we came into contact with, even room attendants nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was so friendly.

He has great rapport with us all and welcomes us with his smile. Great massage, very relaxing time by the pool. loved the steam room and sauna. had been upgraded to a larger room, a very nice touch. The staff are so friendly, kind and courteous everywhere in the hotel, this has to be some of the best customer service we have ever received, we were always greeted with a smile and were made to feel very special throughout our whole stay. The food at this hotel is very good, very fresh, cooked to perfection and served so nicely. We especially enjoyed the calves liver at dinner. We had dinner and breakfast included in our package, both were so good, and lots of choice. As our spa treatments were early on the day we checked in we also had lunch in the bar, which was very nice as well (excellent chips and generous portions). Overall I cannot fault it, it was just so lovely. We would return and would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely nights stay on the romance package, upgraded to a suite beautiful room bed was very comfy, nice separate shower, didn't get to use leisure facilities sadly, had a lovely 3 course meal staff were lovely, prompt and service for us was perfect and the extra attention to detail was nice, for our first wedding anniversary they helped make it special, pastries were lovely so was the tea that was the best we've had from a hotel, staff however brilliant again and cannot fault our service from start to finish from members of staff, will return though and looking forward to doing so Overall lovely stay.

Our package included one nights accommodation, 2 course dinner, full English breakfast, 25 minute spa treatment each, full use of the spa facilities and a bottle of wine in our room upon arrival. Check in was at 3 and check out was at 11 the next day. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist called Ashwin who really made our stay fantastic. He was constantly smiling and very pleasant. He then upgraded us to an executive suite and extended our check out from 11 to 2 giving us more time to use the facilities and relax! The food in the restaurant was very good and everyone did what they could to make our dining experience and enjoyable one. The rooms were modern and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We both had shoulder neck and back massages in the Spa which were very good and then relaxed the rest of the day by the pool! We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend it to others as well as coming back ourselves!

I got the romantic escape package on lastminute.com and we had such a lovely time. The cocktails were good and the breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. I did enjoy my three course meal, they were also really generous with the amount of food. The spa facilities were lovely. The champagne and choco dipped strawberries were also also a nice touch. This was by far the best Crowne Plaza my husband and I have been to. The hotel has a high class look and atmosphere. We booked an overnight romantic getaway for 2 which included 3 course meal at the gorgeous Caprice Restaurant, Breakfast, A bottle of Prosecco and use of the spa facilities. We had an executive room which was lovely!  The hotel staff are wonderful and cant do enough for you. The spa facilities are very good.   All in all a wonderful relaxing stay and great value for money. My husband and I will definitely be returning in the near future.

My husband and I spent a one night spa break away at this well kept hotel. Our room was very nice and clean We both enjoyed a back massage within the price which for me was excellent (wish it lasted longer!) and the masseuse was very informative on my back problem, so kNEW what massage worked best for me.The restaurant service was very good and the food excellent. Overall cleanliness to the hotel was tip-top. I would definitely return and so would my husband who is a picky customer!

The hotel is easy to find and has ample free parking in a secure underground car park. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and check in was quick, our room was beautifully modern, extremely clean, very well decorated and well equipped. We used the swimming pool and saunas which were both very relaxing and then enjoyed a beautiful 2 course dinner in the evening. We sat in the bar after dinner and listened to the piano player who was just brilliant! Later that evening we got a cab into Reading town centre which took around 15 minutes and went to a few bars. The next day we had our treatments booked, I had a facial and my friend a back massage, These treatments were excellent and we both felt so relaxed afterwards. This is a very well kept hotel, which is well organised and offers clean, comfortable accommodation as well as excellent spa, well-being and fitness facilities. The staff are friendly and nothing seems too much trouble for them. I would love to return when they offer another spa package!

We had a 3 course meal included with our stay and that was one of the best meals i have ever had. Compliments to the chef! The room was spotless and immaculate condition, the bed was comfortable. The facilities were were relaxing like advertised and the indoor pool was warm which was nice.

The Spa Day was wonderful, the staff were very professional and helpful, it was a very clean and modern facility. The day in the spa was faultless,  the lady masseuse was very good and extremely caring and considerate of privacy. The tea was also perfect, just enough lovely food and we were left to relax for as long as we wanted to. I would recommend this day to anyone to try, I know I will be going back one day for a top up. We had a package for an executive room on the 5th floor, 45 min treatment each, 3 course dinner and full English breakfast - all of this was amazing! Our check in was swift and our room lovely - spacious with plug sockets by the bed, a luxurious bathroom including rain shower and large tub and robes and slippers provided. The bed was huge and a choice of pillows available. We had our spa treatment together which was great - the only downside to the spa are the lack of loungers by the pool. Steam room, pool and sauna equally luxurious as the room. Room service swift and dinner fantastic - quality amazing and portions just right. Service impeccable. Will definitely come back.

Booked as a birthday treat for my sister, we arrived at the hotel half an hour earlier than our scheduled check-in time; the staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. The room was excellent i.e. clean, modern and comfortable. We did not book any treatments but used the gym, swimming and spa facilities -   very good with an excellent steam room. Overall had a very pleasant experience, great value for money and worth a revisit; though next time would definitely book a treatment!

This is my third visit to the spa and as usual I had a great experience. This time I went with my partner for a relaxing spa day and it was well worth it. The massage was very good and I was left feeling relaxed and pampered.   Staff are all good at what they do. My husband and I both enjoyed our treatments. I would definitely recommend this spa and the massage treatment.

A friend & I booked our stay as a special offer spa break, & we were not disappointed.  The room was lovely - well equipped with a flat screen tv, fridge, wine glasses etc. We had our dinner in the restaurant, which we chose from set menu, & it was absolutely lovely. We then enjoyed some cocktails in the lounge - all very lovely. We used the gym while we were there, which had a great selection of equipment, & we also had a treatment in the spa, which was very relaxing. All the staff at the hotel & spa were really courteous & welcoming, they couldn't have done anymore. I would definitely recommend this hotel, & would happily stay again.

They clearly informed me about my day and offered any help I required. They arranged for my drink to be bought to the poolside which ensured I could relax. Me and my wife were very impressed with the overall stay for our Birthday Weekend Spa. The room was very spacious and to a very good standard. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and the service for dinner and breakfast was faultless. We booked the weekend spa break package which included a three course evening meal with a pianist playing nostalgic tunes in the background was a nice touch. All added up to a very romantic weekend. I even had time to enjoy the 19m swimming pool and sauna. my wife: Very happy birthday girl, which I couldn't ask for more. Definitely recommend this place for value and great service.

We had a 2 day spa break for the 3rd and 4th August, and can honestly say we had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is really lovely, with a great feeling of airiness and space. All the staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast choice was superb, every taste was catered for, hot, cold, vegetarian. The hot food was kept really hot, a nice change from a lot of breakfast buffets, where it can be luke warm and tired. The spa was really nice and friendly. The mud therapy was to die for, and left my skin really soft and smooth. The gym was good, with lots of equipment. The pool was really lovely, as was the steam room, nice touch with the tea tree steam! The rooms were nicely decorated, and looked NEW. The shower was brilliant, we especially liked the fact that you had a static drench shower, AND a hand-held one as well, AND you could have them both on together! Would definitely come again, especially for a spa break..

However I was proved wrong the staff were lovely and very helpful and the place was amazingly clean! the treatments were fantastic and even though it only had one pool it was great to lounge about! My mum is a therapist so is picky but found it excellent. My massage was relaxing. All in all a great value break in a lovely, clean & friendly hotel. Would recommend it. Make sure you ring and confirm treatments & details before you arrive. We would go again, but not on my birthday weekend (valentines day).

We had a package deal for a nights stay with dinner (A bottle included) and breakfast the next morning. The dinner was Exquisite, my mum is quite a fussy eater but she is still talking about the salmon now :) Breakfast was a feast, so much to choose from, a cooked breakfast, cereal, fresh fruit, you name it they had it.  Our room was gorgeous, we loved the Big shower head, it was cozy and comfy and very clean. My mum had a hot stone treatment, she was a little dubious as she had never had a male therapist before, but when she came out (With the pre treatment glow) she was very impressed. The pool area was lovely to just chill by the pool, the steam & sauna were great too. One thing to be aware of is that a lot of families stay at the hotel so check times that the pool is available to children, although this didn't bother us one bit. Overall we loved our stay, we are hoping to go back again soon and telling everyone what a great time we had."
